Are you feeling overwhelmed and unsure about how to best support your child?

Do you need a sense of relief and support for yourself?

Our weekly parent sessions provide a collaborative space for parents and therapists to work together, helping you over time:

  • Gain a deeper understanding of your child's needs.

  • Strengthen the relationship between you and your child.

  • Acknowledge your stressors and past experiences to ensure they don’t interfere with your parenting.

  • Acquire practical parenting strategies.

  • Manage challenging behaviors, such as aggression or self-injury.

  • Promote emotional regulation for both you and your child.

Let us help you navigate this journey with confidence and clarity.

As a parent, it’s okay to seek help, guidance and your own therapy. Recognizing that you need support is a crucial step in addressing these parenting challenges. It takes strength to reach out, and in doing so can pave the way for positive changes.

Practical Parenting Strategies

Open Communication

Encouraging open dialogue about feelings and experiences can help your child feel heard and understood. It’s important to create an environment where they feel safe sharing their thoughts without fear of criticism.

Establishing Routines

Consistent routines can provide a sense of stability and security for children and teens. Routines help them know what to expect and can alleviate anxiety.

Setting Boundaries

While it’s important to be understanding, establishing healthy boundaries is equally vital. This helps children learn responsibility and accountability.

Encouraging Interests

Supporting your child in pursuing their interests and hobbies can boost their self-esteem and provide a healthy outlet for their emotions.

Self-Care for Parents

Remember that taking care of yourself is crucial. When you prioritize your own well-being, you’re better equipped to support your child.

Next Steps

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and unsure about where to turn next, just reach out. Taking that first step—whether it’s a phone call or an email—can be incredibly freeing. Together, we can explore the specific challenges your child is facing and develop a tailored plan to help them move forward.

We will work closely with you and your child, ensuring that we create a supportive and collaborative environment. Change takes time, but with the right support and strategies in place, your child can learn to navigate their emotions, develop healthier coping techniques, and ultimately experience a happier and more fulfilling life.
